How to Prepare for a Mobile Detailing Appointment
Small preparations that make a large difference to the result.
Mobile detailing is straightforward, but a few minutes of preparation makes the appointment faster and the result better.
None of this is complicated, and it applies whether you are in a Mandarin driveway or a Southside office lot.
Parking and space
Pick a spot with room to open doors and walk around the vehicle. Shade helps considerably in summer. Avoid parking directly under a tree that is actively dropping sap, and avoid sprinkler zones.
Clear personal items
Remove valuables, paperwork, loose change, child seats if you can, and anything in the trunk. Every item left in the car is one we have to work around, which slows the appointment down.
Point out the problems
Tell us about the stain under the back seat, the sticky spot on the roof, or the scratch you want looked at. It takes thirty seconds and ensures nothing is missed.
Property permissions
For apartments, condos and workplaces, confirm in advance that on-site vehicle cleaning is allowed. It is much easier to check beforehand than to be interrupted mid-service.
What this includes
- Choose a shaded space with door clearance
- Remove personal items and trunk contents
- Take out child seats if possible
- Point out specific problem areas
- Confirm property rules for apartments and offices
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be there?
Not for the whole appointment, but we do need access to the vehicle and keys if interior work is included.
Should I wash the car first?
No, that is our job. Just remove the clutter.
What if my parking spot is in full sun?
We work around it, though shade produces a better result on hot days.
