Water Spot Removal in Jacksonville
Treatment for mineral deposits and etched spotting on paint and glass.
Water spots are one of the most common paint complaints in Northeast Florida. Sprinkler systems running on well water, quick rinses that dry in the sun, and rain that dries on hot panels all leave mineral deposits behind.
There are two stages: deposits sitting on the surface, and etching where the minerals have eaten into the clear coat.

Surface deposits
These respond to a mild acidic treatment that dissolves the minerals, followed by a neutralizing rinse. Often the paint looks new again immediately.
Etched spots
When the deposit has sat through repeated heat cycles, it leaves a depression in the clear coat. That requires machine polishing to level, and severe cases may not fully clear.
Glass spotting
Windshields and side glass hit by sprinklers get the worst of it. Glass is treated separately, and a glass sealant afterward helps keep new deposits from bonding.
What this includes
- Mineral dissolving treatment with neutralization
- Machine polishing for etched spotting
- Glass treated and optionally sealed
- Advice on sprinkler exposure and parking
- Protection reapplied after correction
Frequently asked questions
Why does my car spot even after I wash it?
Because water is drying on the panel before it is toweled off. In Florida heat that happens within a minute or two.
Are sprinkler spots worse than rain spots?
Usually yes, since irrigation water often carries a much higher mineral content.
Can all water spots be removed?
Surface deposits nearly always. Deep etching sometimes only improves.
